CALIFORNIA AUTO MUSEUM
The California Auto Museum will feature cars that reflect the museum’s current exhibits, including WUNDERCARS!, an exploration of the long and dynamic history of the German automobile.
One of the WUNDERCARS! making it to the Sacramento International Auto Show will be a 1972 Porsche 911T, unique for its vivid green color and the car’s history - two owners and 265,00 miles, and a restoration in 1990.
Also featured will be cars from the museum’s “Going Green” exhibit, including one of the 12 remaining General Motors EV1s, and BMW’s 2007 Hydrogen7, capable of burning gasoline or compressed liquid hydrogen to power its 12-cylinder engine. The car was used by such high-profile customers as Pierce Brosnan, Jay Leno and Prince Albert of Monaco.
Finally, the museum will pay tribute to the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet, as well as collector vehicles available for sale through the museum’s consignment program. Docents will be on hand to answer questions about the historic car collection.
The California Auto Museum display can be found in Expo Center.
