One-of-a-Kind Mobile Automotive Laboratory at Auto Show

The Central Valley New Car Dealer Association, sponsors of the Sacramento International Auto Show, will be presenting the nation’s only Mobile Automotive Laboratory at this year’s event. A culmination of nine years of partnership with education, this $125,000 state-of-the-art mobile lab is a 20-foot trailer featuring a fully functional automotive laboratory on wheels. It includes working models of today’s advanced automotive engine, transmission, brake, electrical and safety systems.

The trailer is part of an educational partnership under the Professional Automotive Training Center (PATC), a consortium lead by the Central Valley New Car Dealers Association (CVNCDA) which includes American River College, Cosumnes River College and Sierra College. The goal of the PATC is to assist students and schools at both the high school and community college level by providing scholarships and equipment. The education donations have totaled over three quarters of a million dollars to date.
